71% of Employees' Salaries Can't Keep Up With Costs as Average Utilities Payment Increased by 16.3% YOY

A study by the Bank of America found that 71% of employees say their salaries are being outpaced by their cost of living. This is an increase from 58% in February.

The average monthly utilities payment increased by 16.3% year-over-year in August. 17% of households either made late payments or missed paying their utilities and for those making less than $50,000, the number is at 25%.
