Anheuser-Busch’s CEO has written an apology regarding ongoing controversy, stating per NYP: “We never intended to be part of a discussion that divides people… We are in the business of bringing people together over a beer.”

Yesterday it was announced Bud Light owner Anheuser-Busch is reportedly pausing its marketing efforts and reevaluating its influencer partnerships, per the Daily Wire.

Daily Wire claims: “No one at the senior level” of the company was aware of Bud Light’s ongoing partnerships, quoting an unnamed source.

This is after a reported partnership with Dylan Mulvany. They said: “Happy March Madness!!” Mulvaney wrote as a caption on the Instagram post. “Just found out this had to do with sports and not just saying it’s a crazy month! In celebration of this sports thing @budlight is giving you the chance to win $15,000! Share a video with #EasyCarryContest for a chance to win!! Good luck.”

The second source told The Daily Wire that the company was likely going to implement a more “robust” process for evaluating partnerships.
