Bahama's Attorney General Says Country is Still Safe to Operate Business In While Urging Authorities to Exercise Restraint
Per CoinDesk
Bahama's attorney general Ryan Pinder stated to investors and tourists saying the country is still a safe place to visit and operate business. The attorney general said they decided not to engage with speculation or gossip but instead "proceed methodically and deliberately" in accordance with due process and the law.
Pinder also said that the new FTX CEO John Ray III misrepresented the government's actions. Ray and FTX's attorney accused the government of ordering "unauthorized transactions," while the commission said the actions were done to protect FTX funds.
Pinder said: "We urge all authorities here and abroad at a minimum to exercise at least the same amount of prudence and restraint in their public commentary as we do..."
