Despite working seven days a week, the strenuous work and high cost of living have taken a toll, prompting Martynenko to plan a return to Sweden.

Life in Canada, particularly in busy metropolises like Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, and Calgary, poses challenges for newcomers due to the daily grind and soaring costs. Social service organizations warn that vulnerable citizens, often newcomers, are disproportionately affected by rising prices, particularly in housing.
