ChatGPT lets users access up-to-date info with a new feature
Per BI
ChatGPT users will get a new feature allowing them to use the AI tool to access up-to-date info. This would only be available for ChatGPT Plus (its premium service) users.
The new feature would break the AI tool's previous limits, which only provided users with access to information up to 2021. Per OpenAI, the creator of ChatGPT, this would be a definitive premium feature for those willing to pay for the service.
The feature is expected to roll out exclusively to paying ChatGPT Plus users this week. The feature works by giving the AI that premium users are utilizing access to web-browsing data, which lets them pull info in real-time.
As mentioned, the previous OpenAI ChatGPT model wasn't able to share information past 2021. This meant that the AI still didn't know anything about recent events like Elon Musk buying Twitter or the collapse of Silicon Valley Bank.
Per BI, this news comes as most people are starting to express their unhappiness regarding Google's search engine. On Reddit, some users have been complaining about Google's search engine, saying it "returns endless listicles and marketing BS."
Select ChatGPT Plus users will also have access to the AI tool's plug-in version, which would integrate AI into existing platforms. Users will also gain access to over 70 "third-party plug-ins for web services like Expedia, Kayak, and Instacart.
Of the jobs expected to be replaced by ChatGPT, here are some of those considered the most vulnerable.
- Software engineers
- Data analysts
- Advertising
- Journalism
- Paralegals
- Market Research analysts
- Teachers
- Financial analysts
- Graphic designers
- Accountants
- Customer service agents
It was noted that should ChatGPT start replacing software engineers, the country that could be most impacted would be India. This comes as the country has over 5 million software engineers.
However, this expectation implies that ChatGPT would replace the majority of software engineers.
