Donald Trump will go on the Joe Rogan podcast $SPOT on Friday

Former President Donald Trump is set to record an interview with Joe Rogan, the popular podcast host, on Friday.

The interview will take place at Rogan’s studio in Austin, Texas, according to a source familiar with the plans who spoke on condition of anonymity. Rogan, who boasts over 14 million followers on Spotify, consistently ranks at the top of national podcast charts. Trump’s appearance on Rogan’s show is part of his campaign’s strategy to court young male voters. Recently, Trump has also appeared on male-targeted podcasts like “This Week w/ Theo Vaughn” and “Full Send,” hosted by the pro-Trump Nelk Boys.

This will be Trump’s first time on Rogan’s podcast, despite their previously complicated relationship. In August, Trump took a jab at Rogan after the podcaster suggested that most politicians are manipulative, with the exception of Robert Kennedy Jr., who was then running for president. Trump responded by posting, "It will be interesting to see how loudly Joe Rogan gets BOOED the next time he enters the UFC Ring??? MAGA2024."

Rogan has been critical of Trump in the past, calling him an “existential threat to democracy” in July 2022. However, Rogan has more recently praised Trump, saying last month that the economy during Trump’s presidency "did really well and he really did try to cut some of the bullshit down that's going on in this country."

Despite their rocky history, Trump and Rogan have had friendly interactions at UFC events in recent months, and they share mutual allies, including RFK Jr., who endorsed Trump after ending his presidential run, and tech mogul Elon Musk.

There are also reports that Vice President Kamala Harris has been in discussions to appear on Rogan’s podcast. A spokesperson for Harris has not yet commented on her plans.
