In a recent interview with the Wall Street Journal, Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, Twitter, and SpaceX, was asked about his approach to handling multiple companies. The billionaire revealed that he divided companies into days.

During the interview, Musk also revealed that he worked with just a part-time assistant and that he was in charge of most of his own scheduling, something that not many CEOs with busy schedules do. The billionaire revealed that he decided to manage his own schedule because it was impossible for someone else to know the supposed priorities.

Elon Musk: "I try to divide companies into one day, so today is a Tesla,  day. This is going to sound pretty strange, but I only have one part time assistant; I do most of the scheduling myself because it's impossible for someone else to know what the priorities are."

Musk also described his days as "long" and "complicated, which resonates with his earlier claims per Finty, where he said he works 80 to 100-hour workweeks. He then shared how he did a lot of context-switching before explaining how he divides his time between his companies.

He also shared the importance of time management.

Recently, it was revealed that Elon Musk could be moving forward with an artificial intelligence project within Twitter. This came after the company purchased around 10,000 GPUs for the platform.

This came after Elon Musk and others called for a pause in AI research, saying there could be "profound risks to society and humanity."

As for one of his most memorable first actions on Twitter, Elon Musk made the headlines when he brought a kitchen sink to the headquarters. This came with a follow-up tweet saying, "Entering Twitter HQ – let that sink in!” along with the video of the event.
