Elon Musk says Twitter is “trending to breakeven” after he had to save it from bankruptcy, per Bloomberg.
He said: Last 3 months were extremely tough, as had to save Twitter from bankruptcy, while fulfilling essential Tesla & SpaceX duties. Wouldn’t wish that pain on anyone. Twitter still has challenges, but is now trending to breakeven if we keep at it. Public support is much appreciated!
He also said, given his work: I'm worried about me too.
Recently, Twitter has begun applying for regulatory licenses across the US and designing the software required to introduce payments across the social media platform, per FT.
The integration of payments aligns with comments previously made by Musk – including a desire to offer fintech services such as peer-to-peer transactions, savings accounts and debit cards – as part of a broader plan to create an “everything app” that incorporates messaging, payments and commerce.
