Former FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried has admitted to Tiffany Fong, per Cointelegraph, to reopening withdrawals for local Bahamian citizens without authorization, as he didn’t want to be in a country “with a lot of angry people in it"

Initially this was shared in an interview with Tiffany Fong.

SBF of FTX said that he did not want to be "in a country with a lot of angry people in it." As a result, he opened up withdrawals to Bahamian citizens.

Reportedly he gave Bahamian regulators "a one-day heads up."

He said: "it's shitty, but [...] the pathway for FTX involved Bahamians not being pissed at it."
