Ghislaine Maxwell said that she never saw Donald Trump do anything that would cause concern

During a two-day, nine-hour interview last month with Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, Ghislaine Maxwell did not make any statements that could be damaging to former President Donald Trump, according to individuals familiar with the contents of the meeting. Maxwell reportedly told Blanche that Trump had never acted inappropriately in her presence or done anything that would raise alarm.

According to multiple sources with knowledge of the internal deliberations, the Trump administration is now weighing whether to release the interview transcripts to the public.

The conversations between Blanche and Maxwell took place across two separate days, totaling nine hours. Sources also indicated that an audio recording of the interview exists, though it remains uncertain whether it will be made public alongside the written transcript.

Officials say the transcripts could be released as early as this week.

Maxwell, a longtime associate of the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, was sentenced to 20 years in prison in 2022 for sex trafficking and other charges. Originally held at a federal prison in Tallahassee, Florida, she was recently transferred to a lower-security federal prison camp in Texas. She is currently appealing her conviction to the U.S. Supreme Court.

As previously reported by ABC News, Maxwell herself initiated the interview with the Department of Justice, according to sources familiar with the matter. She is seeking Supreme Court review of her case, and Trump has not ruled out the possibility of granting her a pardon.

Deputy Attorney General Blanche was photographed leaving his hotel in Tallahassee, Florida, on July 25, 2025, en route to meet with Maxwell.

After the meetings, Maxwell’s attorney, David Markus, said his client would “welcome any relief” and confirmed that she was questioned about “over one hundred different people.” He added that Maxwell “didn’t hold anything back.”
