Governor JB Pritzker has released partial tax records showing he and his wife reported more than $10.3 million in taxable income
Illinois Governor JB Pritzker (D) and his wife, MK, disclosed $1.4 million in gambling income in a campaign-issued statement Thursday. They reported over $10.3 million in taxable income and paid $30.2 million in federal taxes and $4.5 million in state taxes.
Sources say Pritzker, a billionaire heir to the Hyatt Hotel fortune, also claimed earnings from “winnings and losses from a casino” in Las Vegas during the past year. His estimated net worth is $3.9 billion, per his Forbes profile.
Pritzker has self-funded all three of his campaigns and is a major donor to causes aligned with his party, including abortion rights and support for Democratic candidates. Last year alone, he donated $3.3 million to charity, according to the Chicago Tribune.
