House Financial Services doesn't plan to subpoena Sam Bankman-Fried to testify at hearing on FTX collapse

Per CNBC: House Financial Services Committee reportedly was told by Maxine Waters that there is not a plan to subpoena former FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried to testify at Tuesday’s hearing about FTX, per CNBC.

This reportedly happened at a private meeting.

Reportedly Waters wants committee staff to try to convince Bankman-Fried to voluntarily testify. As of Wednesday, Bankman-Fried has yet to agree to voluntarily testify to the House committee.

Maxine Waters has said: Lies are circulating on CNBC that I am not willing to subpoena SBF of FTX. He has been requested to testify at the December 13th hearing. A subpoena is definitely on the table.
