“I've done more for the environment than any single human on earth. What I care about is the reality of goodness, not the perception of it - and what I see all over the place is people who care about looking good while doing evil," Elon Musk has said

“I've done more for the environment than any single human on earth. What I care about is the reality of goodness, not the perception of it - and what I see all over the place is people who care about looking good while doing evil," Elon Musk has said.

Linda Yaccarino sent a memo to X (formerly Twitter) employees on Thursday following Elon Musk’s interview with Andrew Ross Sorkin, describing it to her staff as “candid” and “profound.”

At the DealBook Summit on Wednesday, Musk accused advertisers of attempting to “blackmail” him by withdrawing ads from the platform after he expressed agreement with a social media post accusing “Jewish communities” of promoting “hatred against whites.” Musk’s initial comments were condemned by the White House, which criticized Musk for endorsing “antisemitic and racist hate.”

“If somebody’s going to try to blackmail me with advertising?” X owner and CTO Musk said in the interview. “Blackmail me with money? Go f— yourself. Go. F—. Yourself. Is that clear?”

In the memo sent on Thursday, Yaccarino informed employees that the X owner “shared an unmatched and completely unvarnished perspective and vision for the future.”

She encouraged employees who did not watch the interview to “please take the time to absorb the magnitude and importance of what we’re all a part of. Because that’s exactly what I wanted to focus on with you today.”

During the interview, Musk criticized companies like Disney and Apple that paused their advertising campaigns with X. Musk denied being antisemitic and apologized for his X posts, calling it “one of the most foolish if not the most foolish thing I’ve ever done on the platform.”
