One of the Last Twitter Heads Not Appointed by Elon Musk Officially Resigns

One of the last heads of Twitter before Elon Musk's acquisition, often referred to as Twitter 1.0, has officially resigned. This leaves the social media platform with mostly heads that Musk has brought on himself.
Behnam Rezaei took the initial position of head of product and engineering at Twitter before Musk took the platform. Although he remained in the position, his fellow leaders were either fired or resigned, and now, he is following suit.
Zoë Schiffer, Managing Editor of the Platformer, reported the news, which indicated that now, most heads left at Twitter are the ones that Musk placed in the position.
Schiffer: "One of the last non-Elon Musk appointed leaders at the company, just resigned."
Musk has thinned Twitter from its strong 7,500 since his acquisition to just around 2,000 left, per Business Insider. While other heads started leaving, Rezaei decided to stay despite Musk's takeover until recently.
Rezaei initially joined Twitter in August 2017 as its senior director of engineering. In November 2022, about a month after Musk's acquisition, he became the company's product engineering lead, per his LinkedIn profile.
Since Musk's $44 billion acquisition of Twitter, multiple executives have left the platform, per Business Insider. While some of these executives were let go, others decided to leave the company.

- Katie Marcotte - A ten-year employee of the company and acting head of human resources.
- Sarah Personette - Chief customer officer, quit just a day after Musk's acquisition
- Dalana Brand - Chief people and diversity officer quit a week after Personette
- Parag Agrawal - CEO replacing Jack Dorsey in Nov 2021 and the previous CTO since 2017
- Ned Segal - CFO, a previous Goldman Sachs banker.
- Vijaya Gadde - Legal chief who decided to ban former president Donald Trump.
- Sean Edgett - General counsel who was fired by Musk
- Leslie Berland - CMO, quit as soon as Musk's acquisition
- Jay Sullivan - General manager of consumer and revenue product who was fired by Musk a day after acquisition
- Nick Caldwell - General manager for core technologies who was fired on the day of Musk's acquisition
- Robert Kaiden - Chief accounting officer who left the company after its mass layoffs
- Jean-Philippe Maheu - VP of global client solutions who left shortly after Musk's acquisition
- Julie Steele - Head of internal communications
- Robin Wheeler - Global head of advertising sales, who handed her resignation on Nov 10
- Yoel Roth - Head of Trust and Safety, who left the company on Nov 10
These are just some of the people, heads, and executives that left the company.
