SEC flags 19 crypto tokens as 'unregistered securities'

The SEC flags 19 crypto tokens as "unregistered securities." This comes as the agency is going hard on crypto exchanges like Coinbase and Binance for reportedly listing "unregistered securities."

Coinbase and Binance are now being focused on by the SEC as the agency is going after Coinbase for its staking program. The SEC alleges that the crypto exchange operated as an unregistered exchange and broker.
The allegations also specified how 13 assets on its platform were crypto securities.
Binance's CEO Changpeng Zhao, or CZ, was also sued for breaking US securities. There were reportedly 13 charges filed against the Binance co-founder.
