Mark Cuban says 'no plans' to run for president in 2024 after the Dallas Mavericks deal
Mark Cuban says 'no plans' to run for president in 2024 after the Dallas Mavericks deal, per CNBC.
Cuban, in response to an inquiry from NBC News on Wednesday, stated, "I have no plans to run," when questioned about a potential change in his stance regarding a presidential bid.
In July, Cuban remarked to NBC News that if he were to run for president, "my family would disown me."
Speculation about a possible third-party presidential candidacy emerged following Cuban's announcement of his departure from ABC's long-standing show "Shark Tank," where he has been a judge for the past 15 seasons.
Additionally, there are reports suggesting that Cuban intends to sell his ownership stake in the Dallas Mavericks, a team he acquired in 2000.
Cuban has previously flirted with the idea of running for president. In 2017, during a conference, he expressed serious consideration, stating, "Maybe I run as an independent." In May 2020, while he deemed a White House bid unlikely, he mentioned keeping the door open due to the extraordinary circumstances, stating, "There would have to be something more than the pandemic."
