Mercedes-Benz is integrating Microsoft, MSFT, Teams into its vehicles

Ever found yourself cruising in your AMG GT63 and thinking, “You know what this ride really needs? Microsoft Teams”? No? Well, too bad—because Mercedes-Benz and Microsoft have joined forces to roll out a fresh batch of in-car tech that’s here to blur the line between office and automobile even further.

The upcoming CLA will be the first Mercedes to feature Microsoft Intune integrated directly into its MB.OS operating system, complete with the 365 Copilot generative AI assistant and, yes, Microsoft Teams—now with a shiny new Enhanced Meetings feature.

Thanks to Enhanced Meetings, you’ll be able to livestream your face while driving (in places where that sort of thing is allowed). What a treat. You won’t be able to view shared screens or presentation slides—for safety, obviously—and the system will automatically shut off once the meeting ends.

A new calendar function will display your upcoming meetings right on the dashboard, and an upgraded voice chat system will let you fire off work DMs while stuck in traffic. Mercedes says the collaboration with Microsoft transforms your car into a "third workspace"—a phrase that feels like it was plucked straight from the footnotes of a cyberpunk nightmare.
