Microsoft CEO says they hope the new Bing will make Google 'dance' as the company brings OpenAI abilities
Per The Verge
While there have been a lot of talks about OpenAI's ChatGPT abilities being added to a new Bing, Microsoft's CEO has made direct comments about how the company hopes it would make Google "dance." This comes as the competition heats up between Microsoft and Google.
The news comes shortly after Microsoft announced that OpenAI's ChatGPT would make its way to the Bing search engine. There was also another version of the Edge browser that had OpenAI chat abilities built in.
Company CEO Satya Nadella gave a statement sharing how they are competing head-on with Google. It was also noted how the new technology makes Bing "more powerful" and was designed for search specifically, per Business Insider.
Nadella: "Google is the 800-pound gorilla in search. I want people to know that we made them dance."
Microsoft announced launching the AI-powered Bing search engine and Edge browser. The report also noted that there were 10 billion search queries daily, but only half remained unanswered.
This comes shortly after Microsoft announced that they would extend a $10 billion investment to OpenAI after it showed promising capabilities. This comes shortly after OpenAI's ChatGPT reached 100 million monthly active users in January.
With its 100 million new monthly active users, it was reported that more individuals started using ChatGPT in their workplaces. Kevin O'Leary announced that he would want to invest in OpenAI's ChatGPT, saying it was a force to be reckoned with disruptive power like Amazon, per Fortune.
Google stocked by a whopping $100 billion after its chatbot, Bard, gave a wrong answer in a published GIF. The video of Bard can be spotted on Twitter when it gave a wrong answer regarding the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST).
Google's Bard was released in response to the popularity of OpenAI's ChatGPT.
