One of President Biden’s dogs, Commander, has bitten several Secret Service agents, and even sent one to the hospital, in a series of at least 10 incidents of “aggressive behavior”

Recently obtained internal emails from a conservative watchdog group shed light on a concerning series of incidents involving President Biden's dog, Commander. The nearly 2-year-old German shepherd has reportedly displayed "aggressive behavior," resulting in several bites to Secret Service agents. Over a span of at least 10 incidents, six of them required medical attention.

Commander's difficulty adjusting to life at the White House and the Bidens' homes in Delaware has been evident since his arrival in 2021. In November 2022, a White House medical team sent an officer, who had been bitten on the arm and thigh by Commander, to the hospital. Just a week later, while on a walk with Jill Biden, the first lady, Commander bit another agent on the left thigh. Moreover, there have been instances where agents felt the need to shield themselves from Commander's barking, indicating signs of unease and discomfort around the dog.

The emails, spanning from October 2022 to January 2023, reveal that six of the incidents involved bites that required medical attention. Other instances, where Commander did not break the skin or appeared "playful," were downplayed by the agents.

The situation raises concerns about Commander's behavior and highlights the challenges of integrating him into the White House environment and the Bidens' residences.
