Over 50% of CEOs are Thinking of Downsizing—Remote Workers to be the Least Priority

1,300 CEOs from the world's largest businesses shared their thoughts on the recession, downsizing, and the remote or hybrid setting.
- 91% of CEOs believe a recession is coming in the next 12 months
- 51% of CEOs are considering downsizing their workforce, with remote workers being the first to go
- 45% of CEOs said they are open to a hybrid setting, 34% say they prefer an in-office job, and 20% were open to becoming fully remote
- 65% of CEOs said in-office work was ideal, 28% prefer hybrid, and 7% said they preferred fully remote
KPMG CEO and Global Chairman Bill Thomas said, "the events of recent years have created real turbulence for the business community."
