President Donald Trump has signed an executive order creating the Make America Healthy Again Commission

"Make America Healthy Again" is quickly becoming a key slogan for the next four years.

This week, President Donald Trump signed an executive order establishing the Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) Commission, which will be led by newly confirmed Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

“This groundbreaking commission will investigate the decades-long rise in chronic illness, report its findings, and deliver an action plan to the American people,” Trump said in the Oval Office on Thursday. “And it’s going to be a plan that people are really waiting to hear.”

What is the Goal of the MAHA Commission?

According to the executive order, the commission’s primary mission is to advise and assist the president in addressing what it describes as a childhood chronic disease crisis.

Its initial tasks include:

• Studying the causes of rising chronic diseases among children, considering factors such as diet, exposure to toxic materials, medical treatments, lifestyle, environmental influences, government policies, food production methods, electromagnetic radiation, and corporate influence or cronyism.
• Informing the American public about the childhood chronic disease crisis.
• Providing recommendations on policy and strategy to mitigate and ultimately end this crisis.

The commission is required to submit its "Make Our Children Healthy Again Assessment" within 100 days and present its full strategy to President Trump within 180 days.
