Reddit says private communities' mods would lose status if they don't reopen

Reddit has given a message to moderators of private communities, specifically those of protesting communities, that they would lose mod status if they don't reopen. The message said the message was a courtesy.
Should the communities not reopen, it was noted that the moderators would lose their status by the end of the week. Here's what the full message says.
"After sending a modmail message on June 27, 2023, your mod team indicated that you do not want to reopen the [name of subreddit] community. This is a courtesy notice to let you know that you will lose moderator status in the community by end of week. If you reply to let us know you’re interested in actively moderating this community, we will take your request into consideration."
Some moderators, like yoasif from r/firefox, said they weren't the bad guys and saw no reason to reopen.
In related news, in January, Pfizer had Twitter censor users tweeting at them to ask for generic low-cost vaccines. This was according to Lee Fang of Twitter Files.
Aside from that, Oracle would "soon" gain access to TikTok's source code, algorithm, and content-moderation material. This was to ensure that it is in a "secure environment."
