Sales of Bud Light, $BUD suffered their steepest weekly drop yet, with sales of the Anheuser-Busch brand falling 28.5% versus a year ago

The latest data reveals that Bud Light, following its ill-fated collaboration with transgender social media influencer Dylan Mulvaney, encountered its most significant weekly decline in sales to date.

In the week ending June 17, sales of the Anheuser-Busch beer brand plummeted by a staggering 28.5% compared to the same period last year, as reported by Bump Williams Consulting and NielsenIQ.

This decline surpasses the previous week's drop of 26.8%, which had already exceeded the decline of 24.4% from the week before.

The sales performance of other Anheuser-Busch brands, which are part of the same corporate umbrella as Bud Light, also suffered during the seven-day period ending June 17, according to the data.

Budweiser experienced a decline of 12.3% in sales, while Michelob Ultra, another brand under the Anheuser-Busch portfolio, saw a decrease of 4%.
