Six-figure earners can save up to $200,000 by moving to Miami from NYC and San Francisco

Per CNBC

There has been a significant number of some high-earners that have decided to move to places where they could get more for their money or save more. For example, if six-figure earners moved to Miami from NYC or San Francisco, it was found that they could save up to $200,000.

According to recent analysis by SmartAsset, it was found that this was true for those making at least $200,000. This was also because of the lower cost of living in Florida compared to other more expensive states.

IT was highlighted that a $650,000 earner from Manhattan could save around $200,000 by moving to Miami and maintaining the same salary. This was because of living costs and tax-related expenses.

The report also found that New York was one of the most expensive cities in the world and when compared to the United States' average, Manhattan costs 137% higher.

In March, it was reported that in New York City, a $100,000 sallary could feel just like $35,691. Following this expensive city was Honolulu Hawaii, where a $100,000 salary felt like $36,026.

It was also recently reported that those making a $250,000 salary in Portland, Oregon, needed to pay $100,000 in taxes.
