Tesla job offering pays people $18 to $48 to be a seasonal test driver, driving its EVs for the summer
Per Business Insider
Tesla has listed a job offer that announces how he's paying people $18 to $48 for the position of a seasonal test drive. The job includes driving the company's EVs for the summer.
This comes as the company is trying to collect "high quality" data which the company would use to make improvements to its vehicles. The job position notes that it would be over a three-month period and includes both night and day shifts.
The decision to hire test drivers is not a new occurrence as the company has already done this in the past. This move could be to test other data that wouldn't normally come from Tesla owners.
Tesla has long been reliant on test drivers to ensure its software functions properly. This includes the Full Self-Driving program, which the company has long been trying out.
In October, the company was under US criminal investigation regarding claims it made over its self-driving feature. The claims were regarding how the company's EVs would be capable of driving themselves.
Recently, Elon Musk said that self-driving Tesla cars would arrive this year in 2023. This came after several mentions of self-driving cars arriving in the past, and now, the billionaire says that the self-driving Teslas will arrive this 2023.
