While Apple CEO Tim Cook has no immediate plans to step down, he has already contemplated the qualities of his eventual successor. In a recent podcast episode with singer Dua Lipa, Cook expressed his desire for the next CEO to emerge from within Apple.
When asked about potential successors, Cook smiled and conveyed his involvement in grooming multiple individuals, though he didn't disclose specific names. Despite his demanding schedule, starting at 3:45 a.m. and filled with meetings, Cook emphasized his deep connection to Apple and the difficulty envisioning a life without it.
He assured that the company has comprehensive succession plans in place to handle unforeseen circumstances. Cook assumed the role of Apple CEO in August 2011, succeeding founder Steve Jobs, and has overseen significant milestones, including Apple's surpassing the $3 trillion market cap. Analysts speculate that Apple might reach a $4 trillion market cap by 2025, indicating Cook's continued leadership. Apple did not provide an immediate response to inquiries from Insider.
