Trump’s $1.4B Crypto Haul Tops Every US Public Crypto Firm

Trump’s 2025 financial disclosure shows at least $1.4B in crypto income, edging out Coinbase’s $1.26B and topping every publicly traded US crypto company on the board.

Trump’s $1.4B Crypto Haul Tops Every US Public Crypto Firm

President Donald Trump personally pulled in more crypto income last year than any publicly traded US digital-asset company, according to his latest federal financial disclosure. The 927-page filing released by the US Office of Government Ethics showed Trump generated at least $1.4 billion from crypto ventures, including about $594 million from World Liberty Financial, roughly $636 million tied to his memecoin business and nearly $197 million from an equity sale related to Stablecoin Holdco.

How the number stacks up

Coinbase, the largest and most profitable publicly traded US crypto company, earned $1.26 billion in net income the same year. Trump beat Coinbase by roughly $140 million.

The next-closest listed name, CleanSpark, posted $365 million, while IREN, Bitdeer, HIVE, Bit Digital, Bitfarms, Galaxy, Hut 8 and Core Scientific rounded out the top 10 — six of them lost money on the year. Every US-listed crypto miner combined finished the year down more than half a billion dollars, while the sitting president personally cleared more than any company in the sector by any measure.

Where the money came from

Nearly all of Trump’s crypto income came from one-time token and equity sales rather than recurring operating earnings. The mix breaks down to $635M in memecoin royalties, $500M+ from World Liberty Financial token sales, $196M from a stablecoin holdco and $65M from selling WLFi equity.

Trump got most of his crypto money in 2025 from transaction and licensing fees and other revenue associated with the coins his company sold to traders. Trump Organization affiliates CIC Digital and Fight Fight Fight LLC control 80% of the coin’s supply.

The political angle

Senator Elizabeth Warren said Trump is not fighting for the American people as he claimed, highlighting his billion-dollar cryptocurrency gains during the first year of his presidency. She pointed out that while many Americans are struggling to afford the basics, the president is earning billions.

Pressed on whether he was aware of his massive crypto holdings, Trump told CNBC there is nothing illegal or wrong with it. Trump stands to gain from his memecoin’s market value. For traders, the disclosure adds fresh political-risk overhang to any pro-crypto policy trade tied to the current administration.

Offshore comparison

While the $1.4 billion in earnings tops anything recorded in the US, there are more lucrative crypto businesses operating offshore. Tether, the world’s largest stablecoin issuer, reported more than $10 billion in profit last year, though the figure has not been signed off by an auditor.
