Trump: We're a threat to China

Norah O'Donnell: How big of a threat is China?

Trump: "It's like everybody else. We're a threat to them, too... I think we get along very well, and I think we can be bigger, better, and stronger by working with them as opposed to just knocking them out.

Meanwhile, China has paused its ban on approving exports of “dual-use items” linked to gallium, germanium, antimony, and super-hard materials destined for the United States, the Ministry of Commerce announced on Sunday.

The pause starts immediately and will remain in effect until November 27, 2026.

The ministry first issued the export ban in December 2024. It has also put on hold the heightened checks on end-users and end-use purposes for dual-use graphite exports to the U.S., which were introduced at the same time as the restrictions.

In addition, China announced on Friday that it was suspending other export controls imposed on October 9, including expanded restrictions on certain rare earth materials and lithium battery inputs.

The moves follow an agreement between President Xi Jinping and U.S. President Donald Trump to scale back tariffs and temporarily halt additional trade measures for one year.
