Tucker Carlson has overtaken Joe Rogan on Spotify, $SPOT, and is now the #1 podcast in America

The Joe Rogan Experience has been the most popular podcast worldwide on Spotify since its arrival in 2020, though specific subscriber numbers were never disclosed. In February 2024, Rogan signed a new multiyear deal—reported to be worth up to $250 million—with Spotify, which ended the exclusivity of their contract and allowed his show to be available on other platforms.

According to new podcast charts released by Spotify this week, Rogan's show has slipped to second place, overtaken by the relatively new Tucker Carlson Show. The conservative commentator launched his show on the Tucker Carlson Network in December, several months after being fired from Fox News in April 2023.

The top five podcasts also include Alex Cooper's Call Her Daddy, Cancelled with Tana Mongeau and Brooke Schofield, and The Dan Bongino Show.

Surpassing Rogan in ratings is a significant achievement. In March, Bloomberg reported that Rogan's Spotify subscriber count was at 14.5 million, followed by TED Talks Daily with 5 million, and Call Her Daddy with 3.7 million.
