Tucker Carlson to launch his show on Twitter

Tucker Carlson, the former Fox News presenter, has revealed plans to debut a new program on Twitter. The announcement came via a video on the social media site, two weeks following his departure from Fox News.

In his video, Carlson emphasized, "A free society cannot exist unless individuals are permitted to express their perceived truths."

His departure from Fox News occurred shortly after the network settled a defamation lawsuit related to its coverage of the 2020 presidential election.

On Tuesday, Carlson indicated that a "refreshed version" of his show would soon be coming to Twitter, with the message "we're back" accompanying the announcement.

"Twitter has consistently been the breeding ground for our national dialogue," he stated in the video. "Twitter is a non-partisan platform, welcoming everyone, and we believe that's a positive."

Twitter has yet to comment on the upcoming show.

In a succinct statement released in April, Fox News confirmed that the network and Carlson had "mutually agreed to separate".
