Twitter Co-Founder and Ex-CEO Jack Dorsey Launches Private Beta for New Social App Called Bluesky Social

Former Twitter CEO and co-founder Jack Dorsey announced the launch of the private beta phase for Bluesky Social, a decentralized solution to Twitter.

Bluesky was first announced in 2019 as a Twitter-funded project, with Dorsey joining its board.

Bluesky is building a social protocol that they are renaming to the Authenticated Transportation (AT) Protocol. Domain names will be used for user identity for added security.

The app will also feature algorithmic choices for users to choose which algorithm they want to use.
