Twitter TweetDeck to become exclusive for verified users
Per CNN
Twitter will be locking its TweetDeck feature behind a paywall as only verified users will have access to this tool. In just a month, the new change will go live.
The TweetDeck can be a useful tool for users to monitor the different accounts that they follow. It provides them with a dashboard for them to monitor the accounts in an organized fashion.
The announcement came from the official TwitterSupport account, saying they have also launched an improved version of this feature.
Here are some other notes specified in the tweet.
- "All your saved searches, lists, and columns will carry over to the new TweetDeck. You’ll be prompted to import your columns when you load the application for the first time."
- "TweetDeck now supports full composer functionality, Spaces, video docking, polls, and more."
- "Teams functionality in TweetDeck is temporarily unavailable and will be restored in the coming weeks."
At the end of January, it was revealed that Twitter applied for regulatory licenses across the US and was designing software that could introduce payments across the social media platform.
