US Appeals Court has reinstated Trump tariffs during the appeal against the Federal courts that blocked it
A federal appeals court on Thursday revived one of former President Donald Trump’s most expansive tariff measures, just a day after a lower trade court had ruled that he overstepped his legal authority in enacting them and ordered their immediate suspension.

In a brief order, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit in Washington did not provide any explanation for its decision but instructed the plaintiffs to file a response by June 5, with the government’s reply due by June 9.
The prior day’s unexpected ruling by the U.S. Court of International Trade had put Trump’s “Liberation Day” tariffs in jeopardy—potentially halting or postponing duties imposed on a wide range of U.S. trading partners. These included additional tariffs targeting imports from Canada, Mexico, and China, which Trump claimed were complicit in the trafficking of fentanyl into the United States.
