US GDP QOQ final actual 3.8%
The U.S. economy expanded at an annualized pace of 3.8% in the second quarter of 2025, according to the Commerce Department’s final estimate — a sharp upward revision from the earlier 3.3% figure and a turnaround from the first quarter’s contraction.
The stronger growth was fueled by a steep drop in imports and a solid pickup in consumer spending. Those gains were partially offset by declines in private investment and exports.
The final reading topped the government’s second estimate and underscored a rebound from the 0.6% contraction in the first quarter, the first economic pullback in three years.
