US men outpace women regarding return to the office

US men are returning to the office at a faster rate compared to women. This came after a steep decline in the number of men working at least partly at home from 35% to 28% from 2021 to 2022.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics revealed annual survey data revealed that during this period, the number of women working at home decreased from just 41.5% down to 41%.
In total, there was a decline in both men and women working at least partly at home from this period, from 38% to 34%. This was still above pre-pandemic levels, which sat at just 24%.
Results from the American Time Use Survey showed that 54% of bachelor's degree holders were more likely to work from home. This was in comparison to high school diploma holders or no college degree holders, which sat at just 18%.
It was noted that NYC office value would drop 44% below pre-pandemic numbers by 2029 as more people started working at home. This was an update to earlier beliefs that office values would drop by just 28%.
In April, it was reported that remote-friendly roles saw an all-time high in some of the major US cities. This included Atlanta, Chicago, and New York.
