Zoom Adds Former Oracle CFO Jeff Epstein to Board

Zoom is reshaping its board, tapping a well-known enterprise software finance veteran as it leans harder into AI and B2B expansion.

The appointment

Zoom appointed Jeff Epstein to the Board as a Class I director effective August 31, 2026, with a term expiring at the 2029 annual meeting of stockholders, and named him to the Audit Committee.

Epstein previously served as EVP and CFO of Oracle and is currently an Operating Partner at Bessemer Venture Partners, a venture capital and private equity firm. He will receive an initial grant of restricted stock units with a target value of $213,219 under Zoom’s Non-Employee Director Compensation Policy.

Chadwick steps down

Zoom also announced that Jonathan Chadwick will retire from Zoom’s board after nearly ten years of service, effective November 19, 2026. Zoom stated that his resignation is not due to any disagreement regarding the company’s operations, policies, or practices.

Chadwick’s nearly 10-year tenure spans Zoom’s progression from a growing communications software provider into a publicly traded technology company with a broader enterprise platform.

Why it matters

The leadership transition comes as Zoom continues to expand beyond its core video meetings business into a broader workplace software platform spanning communications, contact center and AI-assisted workflows. Epstein’s experience across enterprise software, public company finance and technology investing gives the board additional perspective as Zoom develops that strategy.

CEO and Board Chairman Eric Yuan said Epstein’s financial and strategic leadership, particularly across B2B software and vertical AI, make him a strong addition to the Zoom Board.

Epstein’s board resume

In addition to Zoom, Jeff serves on the boards of directors of Autodesk, AvePoint, and Twilio. He previously held board positions at Okta, Couchbase, Poshmark, and Shutterstock.
